Paul Cooper
Across the rooftiles
in between falling raindrops; sound of squirrelТs feet. Still waters; reflect passing geese as dawn's mist fades. Rain swollen; the song of the rushing stream pierces bare mountains. Dreams; hearth flames turning to ash, the setting sun. In-between, inhales and exhales: passing-time. On the still river, through the settled mist; heronsТ whiteness. Before dawn; the branch-broken moon splits the void. Dawn, stretched across the porch rail; icicle's shadow. Morning walk; no footprints in the snow- but those left behind. The clock ticks, voices in the midnight cold sing carols. Free from their limbs swirling in the north wind; maple leaves. In falling snow all distinctions vanish; sound of wind. ![]() (USA) Paul Cooper „choshi“ lives by New York’s Hudson River.
