Alexei Grohotov

silent dawn
the first peony bud
burst open

silent garden
snow from the branches
drops dead

cry of the crow
missed so many
the autunm fog

where the rain ends
and you begin
I am

long night ahead
closing your eyelids
with a kiss

all night long
motionless
the snowfall

wind in the flowerbeds
strings a few cabbage white butterflies
haywired

raining for hours
we sit there and listen
how we are behind the times

when nothing’s left –
there is this frost melting
on the glass

snow
can’t find
the morning

grey sky
just in the far corner
the black gull
