now my flowers
see the sky
of a different shape

christmas lights
twinkling at the bottoms of the glasses
last days of the year

snowfall during the thaw
talking about
the japanese porcelain

strolling towards
the familiar picture
the rooks have come back

the moon in the bull’s-eye
a completely different
matter

it’s stone throw!
the driver waves at me
in his own language

in time for the sunset
the evening clouds

"…My first encounter with haiku was a bit funny: long time ago and almost accidently I learnt that the epigraph to my favourite novel by the Strugatsky brothers "Snail on the slope" was not a quote from the prose, but a stand-alone poem. I started to read more, then to write my own haiku. Many years have passed but I am still facinated and surprised by the genre. What I appreciate most in haiku is not following strict canons, but attention to Different in the form that combines conceptual and evident."
